Dream a Lill: 50 Years of Molding Makers
story producer, writer
"Dream a Lill: 50 Years of Molding Makers” is a short documentary chronicling the history of Lillstreet Art Center, a creative community built inside a Chicago horse barn in 1975 that has survived fifty years of growing pains to remain a vital space for artists.
As story producer and writer, I developed the original concept, structured the narrative arc, and created detailed storyboards for the animated sequences, mapping story beats and transitions using archival material to give the animator a clear roadmap. Framing the film around survival and community rather than a simple timeline meant the history felt lived-in, not commemorated.
The result honors fifty years of creative resilience without feeling like an anniversary reel. Watch the trailer below.
