Southport Grocery and Cafe

copy writer, graphic artist

Redesigned the full dine-in and drink menu for an established Chicago restaurant, working within a refreshed brand identity to make sure the layout and copy felt cohesive. Menu item descriptions were rewritten where needed to fit the new design without losing the restaurant's existing voice.

For the same restaurant, I later developed a set of patio signs covering the pet policy and host check-in process. The goal was to answer guests' questions before they became awkward interactions, letting the signage do the work of directing people clearly and warmly, so the staff didn't have to. Friendly enough to still feel welcoming while being specific enough to actually work.
